Bordeaux, February 2015 – Irish day today in Bordeaux, as the two classes in the schedule were won by Ireland’s Bertram Allen and Denis Lynch. The first class – 1.40, against the clock, 5.350 euros in prize money, 74 starters – saw Allen really fast aboard Wild Thing L, leaving the Belgian Constant van Paesschen almost three seconds away on Diamantina van het Ruytershof, while Ireland’s (again… !) Billy Twomey on Royale du Rouet was third slower than Allen of five seconds. The biggest class – 1.50 against the clock, 39 starters and 61.500 euros – counting for the Longines ranking as well as qualification for tomorrow’s World Cup Grand Prix had Denis Lynch on top aboard Abbervail van het Dingeshof, while the World Cup title holder, Germany’s Daniel Deusser, captured the second place riding Espyrante; third place for France’s Kevin Staut on Silvana.
