Vilhelmsborg, 2015 – 6,500 visitors during the three competition days, a total of 450 horses participating and 320 of these were stabled at Vilhelmsborg. These are the highlights of the show and the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction that took place last weekend in Vilhelmsborg near Aarhus.
39 out of 53 auction foals changed ownership Saturday night at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction and produced a turnover of 3,892,000 DKK equalling 522,000 EUR. The 39 foals attained an average price of 99,795 DKK (13,400 EUR) which is the highest average price to date at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction.
A knock-down price of 40,000 EUR was attainted by the show jumping colt Unforgetable S by Untouchable x Cassini I bred by Sally-Ann & Flemming Schultz. This formidable colt remains in Danish ownership. 40,000 EUR was also paid for the Dressage Colt Foal of the Year, Tophøjs Tebaldo by Tailormade Temptation x Blue Hors Don Romantic bred by Anette Nilausen & Niels-Jørgen Johansen and purchased by a Norwegian buyer. Dressage Filly Foal of the Year, Schwarze Schwalbe Macohl by Sezuan x Schwadroneur bred by Frank Jensen & Thomas Bach Jensen became the most expensive filly and sold for 35,000 EUR to a Danish Grand Prix dressage stable.
