Göteborg, February 2015 – Second to last chapter for top dressage in Sweden: this week the Reem Acra FEI World Cup goes on show again with the 8th leg of the series 2014-2015. As for the show jumping, the dressage riders will be competing for the points in order to qualify for the final, scheduled from the 15th to the 19th April.
Lights are already on in the Scandinavium Arena, hosting the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle on Friday 27th and on Saturday 28th February.
The Göteborg Horse Show has been welcoming the most elegant equestrian discipline since 1982, with the first out of seven World Cup finals staged in 1989, the last one in 2013.
In the last leg two weeks ago in Neumünster, Germany, the home riders worked their magic, achieving everything they could, with the first, second and third place, Ulla Salzgeber über alles aboard her seventeen year-old Herzruf’s Erbe.
In the lead of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup provisional ranking stands one of her colleagues, Jessica Von Bredow-Werndl with 71 points, followed by another compatriot, Fabienne Lütkemeier, who collected 64, while the third position is for the Dutch Danielle Heijkoop with a score of 60 points.
Germany still looks like the leader, but the final allows a maximum of three places per country, which makes the competition within the Germans higher.
After Göteborg, the World Cup circuit will fly for another stop before Las Vegas: ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, from the 12th to the 15th March, very last chance to fly to Nevada.
