Wellington, FL – August 22, 2018 – The Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Summer Series competition resumed on Friday, August 17 with ESP Summer II at Equestrian Village at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). The highlight class of the weekend, the $5,000 DeNiroBootCo Stakes class welcomed twenty-four horse and rider pairs to contest the track, and awarded a fault free victory to Brazil’s Fabio Leivas da Costa and Bonne Chance Farm LLC’s own Tosca de L’esques. The duo raced through the Catalina Cruz (MEX) designed fast track in 36.358 seconds to come away with the blue, besting eleven pairs that returned for the second round.
Second place honors were awarded to Ignacio Maurin of Wellington, FL, and his own Con Leche, as the pair completed their jump-off in 36.36 seconds. Third place was captured by German Camargo of Loxahatchee, FL, and his own Centurio, rounding out the top three in 37.068 seconds.
The $1,500 Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic was championed by Sara Williamson of Wellington, FL, and Ossian Ventures LLC’s Cas, who topped the class with a time of 30.788 seconds. Baron Griner of Boynton Beach, FL, and Ultimo, owned by Stransky’s Mission Farms Inc., collected second place on a jump-off time of 32.616. Third place was awarded to Virginia Polinski of Delray Beach, FL, aboard Conquistador, owned by German Camargo, completing the short track in 35.031 seconds.
Sophia Allem of Sanford, FL, and her own Casanova WB, captured top honors in the M&S Child/ Adult Jumper Classic, riding to a jump-off time of 38.863 seconds and with four added faults. Sara Williamson of Wellington, FL, and Den Dekker, owned by Ossian Ventures LLC, took second place with a first round time of 76.44 seconds and one added fault. Trinity Beitler of Coconut Creek, FL, was presented with third place, piloting Castlewood Farm Inc.’s Boris III to the yellow ribbon after a first round time of 68.845 seconds and four added faults.
Sterling Malnik of Wellington, FL, and Top Venture West’s Shenandoah Sirocco, topped the $500 Pony Hunter Classic. Second place was also awarded to Malnik, showing GC Ponies’ Elegance. Malnik rode Montoga, INC., to the third-place position.
Emma Whitten and her own Linus secured champion honors in the Walk/Trot Division, while Sophia Navaretta of Palm Beach, FL, and her own Lhuillier were awarded with reserve champion.
Stephen Dicarlo of Naples, FL, rode the Michelle Carnes owned entry Diarado’s 23 to top honors in the 3’3″ Gold Coast Feed Performance Hunter Division, with reserve champion honors awarded to Naples, FL, resident Jessalyn Gardner aboard her own Caribou Lou.
The Low Children’s Hunter Division saw Stephanie Welborne of Weirsdale, FL, and Christina Harper’s Small Celebration finish atop the division, with Grace Sager and her own Cruze claiming the reserve champion title.
Sara Williamson of Wellington, FL, and Ossian Ventures LLC’s Cas were named champion in the Low Adult Jumper Division, while Reza Shabaki of Miami, FL, and her own Katherine claimed reserve champion.
Lynn Blanchette of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Coralie, owned by Cindy Gerhart, captured top honors in the Children’s/Adult UHealth Hunter Division, while Staci Love of Oakland Park, FL, and her own Qualitat S were presented with the division’s reserve championship honors.
The USHJA Hunter 3′ Division saw Jennifer Magee of Wellington, FL, and Cool Me Down, owned by Richard Schechter, were victorious in the division taking champion honors. Magee also took reserve champion honors aboard Schechter’s Zaloubet.
