The Hannoveraner show jumping breeding programme has become a trademark. At the free jumping competition, which took place for the first time in 1997, a number of later internationally successful show jumpers made their first public appearance.
Jack Whitaker’s black mare Scenletha, for example, celebrated top placings in 1.50 metre jumping competitions in February this year.
The daugther of Scendix/Contendro, bred by Egon Schröder from Hittbergen, was second in the free jumping competition in 2014 and reserve champion mare at the Herwart von der Decken Show before she went into international sport.
The free jumping competition is judged on ability and scope as well as overall impression and jumping intelligence. Characteristics which, coupled with the modern pedigrees and valuable dam lines, distinguish the modern Hannoveraner show jumper.
