Kreuth, April 19 – The qualifying go-round of the NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) European Non Pro Futurity opened the second day of competition in Kreuth, Germany, today. Europe’s best non professional riders made their way in the pen with Gina Schumacher of Germany earning top honors aboard Chanay Sky Management SA’s, Whizzard (Topsail Whiz x Shiney Lil Miss).
With a 218.5, the young German rider leads the € 36,000.00-added Level 4 division of the Non Pro European Futurity. Schumacher also posted the second highest score, a 214.5, with Walawhizsunlight BB (Topsail Whiz x Walla Walla Sunshine) between the reins, as well as fourth place with her third mount, Wham Bam Gunner Man (Gunners Special Nite x Super Olena Chic).
Jan Kock of Germany and his QT Red N Run (Dun It On The QT x Moms Lil Ruffian) earned a spot in the finals with a 214, score which put them in the lead in both the € 20,664.05-added Level 3 and the € 11,808.03-added Level 2 divisions.
It was all about Germany once again today as Luisa Stickel and Ruf Dun Honey (Dun It On The QT x Lil Ruf Sam) closed their run with a 208.5, score which put them in the lead in the € 5,904.01-added Level 1 division.
Finalists will be determined on Wednesday morning following the Non Pro Consolation.
A full-slate of NRHA approved classes are held during the highest paying European event. Following the Non Pro Consolation, the €450-added Limited Open and the €2,500-added Intermediate Non Pro classes will be held.
