Valkenswaard, August 2015 – The amazing location offered by the Stall Tops in Valkenswaard couldn’t have a better inaugural competition. The Dutch leg of the Global Champions Tour, rich in its 300 euro money prize and its fabulous string of starters, offered a great sport performance and the most expected competition didn’t fail in thrilling the very wet public.
After the first round, there were only 12 clear rounds on the 50 starters. There were also 9 retired horse and rider combinations to witness the difficulty of the course. In the second round, accessed by the best 18 from the first round, the light fences and the long distances made a further selection and 6 pairs managed to produce the last challenge of the class.
In the final jump-off, Bassem Hassan Mohammed/Eurocommerce California, Gregory Wathelet/Algorhythem, Henk van de Pol/Willink, Marco Kutscher/van Gogh, Scott Brash/Hello Sanctos and Simon Delestre/Qlassic Bois Margot took the scene and always under a purring rain, Marco Kutscher aboard van Gogh signed the class in 34,86.
Thanks to his performance in today’s GP, Scott Brash is still in the lead in the GCT’s ranking: the British rider will defend his leadership in September in Rome
