Antwerpen, April 2015 – France’s Simon Delestre (33) aboard his great companion Ryan des Hayettes scored victory yesterday night in Antwerpen in the second 2015 Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. He went in a six-rider jump off out of 50 starters (18 in the second round) setting the overall fastest time with no faults at all. Not an easy job indeed, as the the second was Germany’s Hans Dieter Dreher on Embassy II, normally a very dangerous contender particularly against the clock. Third place went to Australia’s Edwina Alexander Tops aboard the lovely Lintea Tequila, a mare that seems to be the best horse in Edwina’s stable after the retirement of Itot du Chateau. One rail down for the Aachen Grand Prix winner, Germany’s Christian Ahlmann on Codex One who came fourth, while Egypt’s Karim El Zoghby on Amelia and Qatar’s Sheikh Khalid Al Thani on Vienna Olympic were fifth and sixth with four and ten faults respectively.
