Verden, 11 february 2020 – The 30th Show of privately owned stallions in Verden was the magnificent setting for the best of their vintage. In the Niedersachsenhalle six young dressage stallions were awarded with the Weltmeyer Prize. Two jumping talents received the Stakkato Prize. They all belonged to the absolute top in their stallion performance tests.
Bailador, “The dancer”, lived up to his name. The son of Benicio/Florencio (breeder: Susanne Geffke, Cuxhaven, station: Sönke Rothenberger and Birkhof Stud) completed his 50-day test in Schlieckau in November 2019 with an overall score of 8.61. He not only convinced with outstanding basic gaits but also with his very good interior.
In Warendorf, Damaschino by Danone/Fidertanz (breeder: Burkhard Wahler, Bad Bevensen, station: Klosterhof Medingen) was celebrated as the shining Bundeschampion of three-year-old stallions. He received an even 10 for his overall impression – it couldn’t have been better! He thus won the 50-day test with a final score of 9.35. A great success for Burkhard Wahler: Last year his stallion Dostojewski by De Niro/Latimer was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize at the same place.
As a premium stallion, Danciero by Dancier/Floriscount (breeder: ZG Broers and Weber, Aurich, station: Helgstrand Dressage) had left the Verden stallion licensing two years ago. Three quarters of a year later, the black became Hannoveraner Riding Horse Champion with rider Eva Möller. Danciero came fourth in the high-class Warendorf Final. Back in Denmark, he shone with an ideal score of 10 in the foreign rider test at the 35-day test in Randers/DEN and set an impressive mark with an overall score of 9.11.
Danciero has travelled to Verden with two stable mates from Denmark for the award ceremony. Vendôme by Veneno/Fidertanz (breeder: Paul Paessens, Weeze, station: Helgstrand Dressage), also a premium stallion at the 2018 Hannoveraner licensing, received an overall score of 8.80 at his test in Randers/DEN.
Unforgettable was the appearance of Vivino by Vivaldi/Dancier (breeder: Ulrike Buurmann, Greifenstein, station: Helgstrand Dressage) in the Niedersachsenhalle. With the top price of 2.01 million Euros, he set an absolute record at the stallion sales. He proved his outstanding qualities at the 35-day stallion exam in Randers/DEN, where he received the final score of 8.80.
Zoom by Zack/Don Schufro (breeder: Dorthe M. Jeppesen, Lenzburg/SUI) belongs to the stallions of the Warendorf State Stud. He already attracted attention at his licensing in December 2016 and was awarded the yellow-white premium sash. Both sport tests showed that his valuable pedigree keeps what it promises. In March 2018, he was the outstanding winner of part I in Münster-Handorf with a final score of 8.51. Last year Zoom qualified with his rider Beatrice Buchwald for the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses.
Two jumping stallions were awarded the Stakkato Prize. Via the stallion sales, Chilano Blue by Chacco’s Son/Carenzo (bred by Wolfgang Stümpel, Beesten) came to the Brodhecker family’s Burghof in Riedstadt, Hessen. There he was trained for the sport. In March 2019, the impressively jumping bay started to fly high in the sports test part II in Munich-Riem. He shone with a final score of 9.43 and led the starting field by far. By now he has already won six tests for young show jumpers at horse shows.
Karajan by Kannan/Verdi (breeder: Werner Schultze, Langlingen, Station: Klosterhof Medingen) had already caused a sensation at his first public appearance. At the licensing in Münster-Handorf he became Champion Stallion. Four weeks later at the 2nd Hannoveraner licensing in Verden he received a premium title. At both sport tests he convinced with top marks. In March last year, the 10 for jumping ability and for the overall impression stood in the certificate of the model athlete born in 2014. Outstanding sport results were not long in coming either, he took part twice in the Hannoveraner Jumping Championships with rider Christian Temme.
